We are delighted to welcome Stu Hennigan to celebrate the publication of Keshed, his debut novel.
Hennigan’s is a novel that will challenge contemporary discourse around masculinity, fatherhood and men’s mental health as we read through the reflections of a dying man in the shell of his family home, haunted by the chain of events that led him there.
Described by the Republic of Consciousness Prize as “one of the most important political and cultural voices of our time,” Stu Henngian is a writer, poet, editor and musician from the North of England. His book, Ghost Signs (Bluemoose, 2022) was shortlisted for Best Non-Fiction at the Books Are My Bag Awards and Best Political Book by a Non-Parliamentarian at the Parliamentary Book Awards in 2022/23. His short fiction, essays, poetry, criticism and articles have been published widely in print and online including by Prospect, 3:AM, Broken Sleep Books, White Rabbit, Lune Journal, Visual Verse and Expat Lit. Keshed is his debut novel, to be followed in 2027 by Disappear Here, a social and cultural history of United States from the sixties to the present day, analysed and interpreted via the thousands of pop-culture references in the novels of Bret Easton Ellis.
