Community Productions

Be Part of Something Epic

We have a long history of producing epic community productions. Involving hundreds of participants who call York home, our community productions explore the city’s story through creativity and togetherness.

The Friends

Share your passion

An enthusiastic theatre-loving group keen to support our local theatre, raise funds and meet others who share a passion for the arts.

Theatre for Joy!

Make Mondays Matter

A welcoming creative space for adults with lived experience of mental health challenges.

Whether you’d like to ease into creativity with a relaxed café craft session, explore storytelling through drama, or stay for both, you’re very welcome. No experience is needed.

To help us create a safe and supportive space, places are limited and must be booked in advance. Express your interest here.

The Hut

We host monthly drama sessions at The Hut York, a member-led charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of adults navigating mental health challenges and/or learning disabilities through creativity and purpose. During these sessions, we explore different drama techniques and connect members with performances and projects at York Theatre Royal.
