Volunteer Call Out – York Theatre Royal needs you!

This Christmas, the York Theatre Royal pantomime is going places. We’ll be visiting every one of York’s 21 wards with a show like no other. Do you live in one of York’s 21 wards and love theatre? Then, you can help us plan and deliver York Theatre Royal’s Travelling Pantomime!

We’re looking for a team of volunteers (Community Champions) that will help with tasks that will help embed the show into each community the pantomime visits.

Community Champions will:

– assist with fundraising
– identify partnership opportunities with local businesses
– help with the show’s publicity and social media in your area
– liaise with local schools, groups and charities
– generally assist the York Theatre Royal team with your knowledge about your community and local area

Volunteering Commitment:

These roles will be home based; therefore, you will need to have access to a computer. We expect volunteers to commit 6 hours a week to the role (this is flexible to suit your availability).

Don’t forget to include any previous experience you think you could bring to the role, any local groups that you’re part of that might be useful and why you love theatre.
