A spellbinding evening of comic character acting and improvised storytelling

Neil Haigh’s Comedy Masterclass Ruined By Stewart Wright so successfully combines clowning, improvisation and theatrical storytelling that it’s leaving audiences saying:

“Haven’t laughed so much in a while”

My face started to ache”

“I laughed and laughed”

A beleaguered acting lecturer channels twenty years of disappointment into a one-off Masterclass amidst a backdrop of professional pressure and personal crisis…will a surprise guest be his ruin or saviour?

Neil Haigh’s experience with groundbreaking theatre company Cartoon de Salvo and Stewart Wright’s 30 years as a comic character actor (Smack the Pony, Bridget Jones’s Diary) combine exquisitely into the most perfect of stage duos. With BAFTA-nominated Justin Sbresni as comedy consultant, this is a rare and unique treat of an evening out.

This show is part of The Old Paint Shop season, which transforms our Studio into a cabaret club.

Seating is unreserved, so be sure to grab your seats early and get a drink at the bar.

Overview of The Old Paint Shop seating layout, with 12 tables sat around a stage, each with 4-5 seats, extra seating at the back of the theatre.

Stewart is one of the most gifted and funniest improvisers I have ever worked with. His natural ability to find truth and humour in every moment is a joy!
