Applications are now open to get involved behind the scenes in various roles for York Theatre Royal and Riding Light Theatre Company’s world premiere of a brand-new play His Last Report.
The play which focuses on the life and legacy of one of York’s most influential figures: Seebohm Rowntree. This powerful play tells a local story through the voices of York’s residents, both past and present. There will be around 100 people in the cast including adults and young people as well as large community choir.
We are now looking for volunteers (aged 18+) in the following areas:
*Hair & Makeup – volunteers will support with getting cast members ready for the show. With the production being set across multiple time periods including 1895, 1900-1906, 1926, 1934, 1946 and modern day, volunteers will get involved with period and modern day hair styling including wig application. There will also be make up for our ghostly apparitions and makeup to age one of the characters.
During tech week volunteers in this group would be needed to attend a minimum of 3 sessions including one dress rehearsal.
During the performance weeks volunteers in this group would need to commit to a minimum of 4 performances.

*Stage Management – volunteers will support our stage management team during rehearsals, tech week and performances. Find out more and sign up here. *Props – volunteers will assist the team in making and sourcing props for the production. Prop making sessions will take place in w/c 16 Jun and w/c 23 Jun. Find out more and sign up here.
