As part of our Pride Celebrations, York Theatre Royal is inviting emerging drag artists to apply for a unique development opportunity.
One selected artist will receive creative support from our Wardrobe Department to help develop and refine their drag look. They will have access to materials and lessons in making skills, drawing on professional costume expertise and theatrical craftsmanship.
To debut their newly developed look, the chosen artist will be invited to perform a guest slot in seasoned drag duo The Isolation Creations‘ show at The Old Paint Shop at York Theatre Royal on Sat 06 Jun. Ahead of the performance, The Isolation Creations will offer supportive mentoring focused on confidence, charisma, and connecting with an audience in a way that feels inclusive, playful, and kind.

We welcome applications from drag artists of all styles, identities, and expressions who consider themselves to be at an early stage of their drag journey.
