Main Stage Summer
New for 2026!
Whether they love being in the spotlight, are curious about what happens behind the scenes, or are simply looking for a fun and creative way to spend their summer, our Youth Theatre Summer Holiday Production is perfect for young people aged 8 to 19.
Participants will get to work on our Wendy & Peter Pan our first Main House Youth Theatre Prodcution since 2019.
Summer Play in a Week
Grimm’s Fairy Tales (for 5-7 year olds)
Join us to enter and play in the madcap world of Grimms’ Fairy Tales. Together we’ll explore the magical and mystical worlds of Rapunzel, Snow White, Hansel & Gretel and perhaps dip into the slightly crazy The Mouse, the Bird and the Sausage!
The Tempest (for 8-11 year olds)
In this fun-filled play in a week, we will be exploring the magical world of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, set on the most enchanting of islands, where nothing is as it seems and revenge is being plotted!
Holiday workshops with City of York Council
Holiday activity & Food Programme
During certain school holidays we partner with the City of York Council to deliver Holiday activity & Food Programme (HAF) workshops for children accessing free school meals. We deliver creative days where we explore different art forms, share a healthy lunch and use creativity to express ourselves. We partner with different artists, organisations and settings to offer a programme that enables each young person to thrive and realise their creative potential.
