York Theatre Royal has faced many difficult times during it’s 275 years of existence – including two World Wars, recessions and funding cuts. We are now facing another challenge, one which will have an impact on our beloved industry for years to come. However, the building still stands strong, just like the community it belongs to. We are determined to be still standing strong in 275 years’ time, thanks to the support and generosity of our audiences, community and Members.
