The Hut York is a registered charity and community hub that has supported adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities since 2011. We offer a welcoming, inclusive space where members design and take part in meaningful workshops, life skills sessions, and creative activities. We operate from our main building, alongside The Hubble wellness space and the Hut Made shop, where all products are created by members. Our Seed to Feed project encourages learning through gardening, sustainability, and nature. The Hut York welcomes referrals and self-referrals—everyone is greeted with a smile and a warm welcome.
York Theatre Royal run monthly drama sessions at The Hut and it is here the group have started their own original devised piece responding to the Rowntree’s. Expect poetry, movement, interviews with characters from the past and much more.
