Volunteering

Volunteering with York Theatre Royal is a great way to get involved and support us, as well as learning new skills and meeting like-minded people. We have several opportunities for you to contribute your time and skills.

Photography Group

Open to professionals and hobbyists, the York Theatre Royal Volunteer Photography Group is perfect if you want to meet other local photographers, practice your skills and gain unprecedented access to theatre events and productions – from photographing youth theatre to documenting our large-scale community productions.

Sewing Group

Supported by York Theatre Royal’s Wardrobe department, this social group is for anyone who enjoys sewing and would like to meet other like-minded people. This fabulous group help to repair costume hire outfits and occasionally work on new costumes for productions in the theatre. Tea and biscuits are always to hand. Fundraising and Development

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative individuals with a passion for theatre and great organisational and administrative skills to help us raise essential funds to support projects, productions and events in our community. This role is office based with tasks such as event planning, admin and research.

If you would like to get involved and can offer a few hours a week to help make a difference, please send a covering letter, including some information about yourself and why you want volunteer, with a copy of your CV if you have one, to our Development Team at fundraising@yorktheatreroyal.co.uk
