Following their sell out and acclaimed show at York Theatre Royal last year, York-based jazz combo, The Jazzville Quintet, are delighted to present an evening led by the fabulous Portuguese jazz songbird, Raquel Alvaro. A graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, Raquel is adept at many styles of singing, including classical, Fado and all styles of jazz. Tonight she will be focusing on the Great American Songbook for a joyful celebration of Latin favourites (some sung in the original Portuguese!), swing classics and haunting jazz ballads.
Joining Raquel is piano maestro, arranger and composer, Alec Robinson, also a graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, along saxophone star, Alex Fisher, Chris Sykes on drums and Tim Murgatroyd on double bass.
Expect an unforgettable evening of diverse jazz and Latin performed with passion!

This show is part of The Old Paint Shop season, which transforms our Studio into a cabaret club.
