Visit York’s Residents Festival once again sees us throw open our doors as we welcome you to come and learn more about your theatre, sitting in the heart of York since 1744.
We invite the people of York to join us for a free evening tour to find out more about the fascinating history of theatre in York, discover the secrets of our backstage world and learn more about our building.
Tours are available at:
29th January – 1800, 1830, 1900, 1930, 2000
30th January – 1800, 1830, 1900*, 1930, 2000
Please note that spaces must be reserved beforehand, and that due to the number of stairs involved on the tour, it is not currently possible to accommodate customers with impaired mobility. Each tour will last approximately 30 minutes.
* The 1900 tour on 30th January will be delivered in both English and Mandarin.
