WINGS is a welcoming weekly group in York designed for women new to arts and creativity. We provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can unfold their creativity, build confidence, and connect with other women. Through drama exercises, art, and various creative activities, WINGS helps women express themselves, gain confidence, and most importantly, enjoy having fun together at York Theatre Royal.
For Sweet Legacies, our WINGS group workshopped ideas for a radio drama inspired by the Rowntree legacy, which was then developed into a script and recorded by the group.
