Full cast announced for York Theatre Royal panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs…

York Theatre Royal have today announced that actress Marcavia McCarthy will be taking on the titular role of Snow White in this year’s panto.

Marcavia has previously starred in Evolution Productions’ Cinderella and has a wide variety of theatre credits including Luna Loves Library Day the Musical (UK Tour); Dad Is Not My Friend (The Cockpit Theatre London) and Sleeping Beauty: The Pantomime (Worthing Pavilion Theatre).

Marcavia joins the talented cast which includes CBBC and CBeebies’ Richard David-Caine (Horrible Histories, Swashbuckle, Horrible Science) and West End star Jenny Gayner (Chicago, Gangsta Granny)  – alongside returning audiences favourites Robin Simpson, Tommy Carmichael and Christian Mortimer.

Alongside the all-important Snow White, the cast of the fabulous Seven Dwarfs will be led by Dean Whatton (Game of Thrones) – with Lucy Blenkiron, Richard Blenkiron, Willie Coppen, Stijn Keuleers, Maria Popska and Harrison Taylor joining the YTR panto family this Christmas.

Juliet Forster, Creative Director at York Theatre Royal, said: “We are so delighted to have such a brilliant cast lined up for the show. It is the first time Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been performed on our stage and audiences can expect something really special! I can’t wait to get started on rehearsals and see this fabulous show come to life with this amazing team.”

The show is written by Paul Hendy, directed by Juliet Forster and co-produced with award-winning Evolution Productions – the team behind previous York pantomime smash hits Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin and last year’s Sleeping Beauty.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is at York Theatre Royal from 4 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. With lavish costumes, stunning sets, hilarious jokes and dazzling special effects, the show is set to be an unmissable treat for the whole family.
