As Evelyn Waugh’s seminal novel turns 75, Castle Howard invites you into its magnificent grounds for a celebration and interrogation of this masterpiece of 20th century fiction and screen.
Taking place over the weekend of 27-28 June 2020, the Brideshead Festival will feature a stellar line up of writers, biographers, leading actors and crew, and will include screenings, discussion panels, performances and exclusive tours.
The Brideshead Festival will explore the ‘magic power’ and enduring nature of Brideshead Revisited. What makes the book a classic? Why have its adaptations captured the hearts, and imaginations of generations of viewers? Whatever happened to Aloysius?
Visit Castle Howard for a decadent weekend in the stunning setting, which has inspired writers and filmmakers alike, whether you’ve visited before or have only known this historic house from the big screen.
The Festival will take place in the HarperCollins Festival Tent in the grounds of Castle Howard. Click on the Book Tickets tab for the 27th June from 10am to book a weekend ticket for Saturday & Sunday.
