Eating and Drinking

We're now offering a two- or three-course pre-show supper menu in our newly titled Bistro 67.

There’s so much more to York Theatre Royal than just seeing a show, with a warm welcome awaiting you in our bistro, café and bars. With everything from cakes and light bites to winter warmers or a three course meal, there’s plenty for you to choose from. And we’ll make sure you get served in plenty of time to get to your seat. Our team of chefs strive to cater for any specific dietary requirements.

THE COLONNADE CAFE
Open daily

Mon – Sat 10am – 5pm on non-show days
Colonnade Café menu available from 10am
Our café is ideal whether you want a light bite, soup and a sandwich, a plate of something warming or just a cake and a coffee.  If you are tight on time a selection of sandwiches, savouries and snacks are available to grab and go from the café counter .  Alternatively you can order dishes from the Colonnade Cafe menu.

THEATRE BARS
The theatre offers two bars. The Bistro 67 Bar is situated on the ground floor while the Theatre Bar is at dress circle level (lift available) so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxed pre-show drink as well as interval refreshments. Why not avoid the interval queues by pre-ordering your interval drinks at the bar before the performance?
