TakeOver is an annual theatre festival run entirely by under 26 year olds who plan, program and deliver a theatre festival at York Theatre Royal. TakeOver Festival is managed by a Board of voluntary Trustees who make all of the important decisions, organise and govern the festival on behalf of York Theatre Royal.
We are looking for committed young people aged 12-26 who have great ideas to join the Board of Trustees. Everyone is welcome! We would be particularly interested to hear from young people with an interest in any of the following: media arts, theatre and arts, press and marketing, graphic design, digital media, business management, finance and education and outreach.
You would need to be able to commit to attending regular fortnightly meetings on WEDNESDAYS 6 - 7.30pm at York Theatre Royal, throughout the duration of January - October 2019 from the ideas stage right through to the festival and evaluation.
TakeOver is a unique opportunity to get brilliant experience for your CV: from understanding the workings of the arts industry, to gaining leadership skills, to learning about creating theatre, organising events, marketing, business and developing self-confidence. By becoming a member of the Board you will play a key role in the management and organisation of this fantastic project.
All you need to do is email email@example.com and tell us a bit about yourself, why you are interested in joining the Board and what skills you could bring or would like to learn.
