Pleasance Partnership Pathways Programme

York Theatre Royal is partnering up with The Pleasance as one of five national partners to support artists and companies to present work at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019. Alongside York Theatre Royal, the Pleasance Partnership Pathways Programme is working with HOME Manchester, Leicester Curve, Bristol Old Vic and Royal and Derngate Northampton – five leading national producing houses with a commitment to supporting and developing new artists.

This programme recognises the extraordinary work being created outside London, and hopes to provide tangible support to these companies to present at the Fringe. Together, the partners hope to make a substantial contribution to develop the next generation of leading theatre-makers and companies.

“We’re really excited to be a partner on this project to support artists from our region to take their work to Edinburgh. It’s a brilliant opportunity for us to connect to new ideas and take them to the next stage of their development. We look forward to lots of brilliant plans coming our way!”

John Tomlinson, Producer, York Theatre Royal
