From Shakespeare’s Globe to York Theatre Royal

The new Executive Director of York Theatre Royal has been named as Tom Bird, who joins from Shakespeare’s Globe in London where he has been Executive Producer since 2012.

Visionari: A new initiative to give our community a voice. We are looking for an initial group of people aged 16 and over to be our first advisory programming group. You will spend a year with us learning about the theatre, why it exists and how it operates through ten workshops which will be led by YTR staff. Workshops will be based on topics about the hows and whys of theatre making.
