Jack & The Beanstalk

This year we'll be bringing you the ever popular Jack & The Beanstalk, a family favourite featuring a line-up of much loved panto characters - the big bad giant, Patricia the cow and of course, Jack himself.

They are joined by Berwick Kaler, the nation's longest running consecutive panto dame who is widely acclaimed to be the best in the land, and rejoined by Martin Barrass. Once again we've assembled the theatre's dream team who will conjure up all that amazing magic and sparkle loved by generations of panto fans.

★★★★★ “Explosively, liberatingly, rib-achingly funny. And unmissable” – Yorkshire Post

★★★★ “gloriously shambolic” – The Stage

"Jack and the Beanstalk is a Christmas cracker of a show that had us laughing throughout." – Little Vikings

"Jack and the Beanstalk is a family fun-packed, super slapstick piece of theatre. And yes, there are wagon wheels!" – The Reviews Hub

"[Berwick Kaler] writes so well for his fellow regulars, not only the bounce-back Barrass's Stanley Manley, but David Leonard's stupendous villain, Dr McCarb, whose duet of The Troggs' Wild Thing with principal golden-girl Suzy Cooper's Jill, in her darker Princess Leia guise, is poptastic." – York Press

"Be amazed, amused, confused, gobsmacked. We don’t do ratings at BTG, but if we did I’d have to give it five stars…Brilliantly bonkers." – British Theatre Guide

"It's silly, it's mad, but it is a splendid institution and one we should celebrate." Yorkshire Times

"The show to see this Christmas" – Wetherby News
