Bare Skin On Briny Waters

Two young women stand on a cliff edge steadily being blown on an unexpected course.

Annie says she's fine but she can't quite get her story straight. Sat by her side Sophie covers the bruises on her neck. She thinks everything might be alright, because it's amazing what you get used to, isn't it?

**** 'The dramatic equivalent of a Laura Marling song: sad, sensitive, soulful and stirring. A howl of rage, whispered into the wind from a clifftop’ - The Stage

“Gently poetic salt-tinged story-telling” - Lyn Gardner, The Guardian

Underscored with live folk music this is a story about survival and escape from Bellow Theatre, an award winning new-writing company rooted in brave and stirring storytelling. Supported artists of Hull Truck Theatre and Emerging company of New Diorama Theatre.

Bare Skin On Briny Waters was a hit at Edinburgh fringe, where it was part of the Hull City of Culture TakeOver and earned two award commendations from NSDF for Writing and Acting
