The Friends of York Theatre Royal are an enthusiastic,
theatre-loving group keen to support our local theatre, raise funds and meet others who share a passion for the arts.

2009 sees the Friends (formerly York Theatre Royal’s Theatre Club) celebrate it’s 50th anniversary which will be celebrated with fundraising events and trips throughout the region.

Recently the Friends have raised over £10,000 towards a new audio system for the hearing impaired and have big ambitions for the future aiming to raise more money
for a variety of theatre projects. People are always welcome to help and take part in our social and fund-raising events, helping us achieve our ambitious targets and put something back into our local community.
