Roxanna Klimaszewska presents Keep Up! An Interactive children's theatre tour, Comissioned by Imove
As part of the Imove Cultural Olympiad, Six Lips Theatre's Roxannna Klimaszewska presents and directs a collaborative piece of Children's Theatre. Keep Up! will run from Thursday 30th August to Sunday 2nd September at Rowntree Park, York. Performances are 11am, 1pm and 4pm daily; tickets are £4 per person of £14 for a family of four.
Keep Up! is an exciting storytelling spectacle, embedded with games, challenges, races and other Olympic silliness. Set against the backdrop of beautiful Rowntree Park, this will be a magical day for all the family, featuring guest appearances by Nike, Zeus, a sumo wrestler and the tortoise and the hare.
The performance is an interactive promenade, incorporating film, movement, performance and art which aims to encourage children of a primary school age to expolre their notions of athleticism and healthy body image as part of the Olympic season.
Keep Up! is a project developed in partnership with Imove, Legacy Trust UK's celebratory programme for Yorkshire and part of the Cultural Olympiad. Imove has been funded by Legacy Trust Uk, creating a lasting impact from London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent to inspire creativity acorss the UK.
