Well how to review this? In a single word... Fantastic! York Theatre Royal is a truly lovely venue in the city centre, it is a fairly small theatre which is ideal for this kind of show as you feel very up close and personal with the cast.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) - Revised

The Reduced Shakespeare Company present the original play that launched a thousand Reductions, and was also the longest running comedy in London’s West End!

All 37 Plays in 97 Minutes, now revised for 2013 with the same recycled jokes - just put in a different order.

An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was London’s longest-running comedy, having clocked a very palpable nine years in London’s West End at the Criterion Theatre!

Join these madcap men in tights as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories and Tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe that takes long, serious subjects and reduces them to short, sharp comedies. Check out their website here: www.reducedshakespeare.com
