York Theatre Royal offers a relaxed, informal and unique setting for seminars, talks, meetings and receptions. There are several rooms available.

The Keregan Room
Set in the converted 12th century undercroft this beautifully refurbished medieval room can accommodate 40 people standing, 25 seminar style and 16 boardroom style and is perfect for formal meetings as well as pre-performance receptions and events.

The Studio
An intimate theatrical space for talks and workshops.Subject to programming and
availability the studio is a small theatre space with performance quality sound and
lighting and a capacity of 100.

The Main Auditorium
The Main Auditorium is a beautiful and dramatic setting for conferences, events and
performances. A mid-sized proscenium arch theatre space with performance quality sound and lighting, a capacity of 847 and a resident ghost.
Availability subject to programming.

The De Grey Rooms
The Ballroom, Cocktail Bar and Oakroom in the adjoining De Grey Rooms may, on
occasion, be available for hire subject to the theatre’s activities and programming.
Please note this space has no disabled access.
