Belt Up Theatre was founded by Dominic J Allen, Jethro Compton, James Wilkes and Alexander Wright. In 2008 Belt Up won the Edinburgh International Festival Award for thier project 'The Red Room'.
Belt Up are based in York and have been resident company at the York Theatre Royal since the end of 2009. Belt Up is committed to producing fearless, adventurous and playful work that places its audience at the centre of the production.
Since tutti frutti was founded in 1991 they have delivered acclaimed touring productions for young audiences of high quality building an excellent reputation.
From 1999 to 2004 the company developed a series of mid-scale theatre productions during their residency at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield.
Since 2008 tutti frutti have been based in Leeds, exploring and developing core activity of small-scale touring productions nationally and internationally, building an important partnership with York Theatre Royal.
tutti frutti co-produce shows with York Theatre Royal and perform in a host of different venues across the country, reaching around 20,000 children in over 200 performances a year.
