City of York Council and York-based film company Parashoots are looking for 2 female actors for a specially commissioned film. The short-film will follow two characters from York: the bohemian writer, Nadia, and wild networker Zoe as they debate the plan for the weekend, lifting the lid on the alternative sub culture of the city. It's purpose is to portray York from an insider's perspective, revealing sides of the city that will surprise many, pique curiosity and serve as an invitation for people to come and explore in their own way.
The film-makers are looking for actors to play 2 roles;
NADIA (aged 22-27)
Whimsical and graceful, Nadia is the conscientious consumer that we all aspire to be: intelligent, green and what many might assume is a manifestation of the edge of lunacy, but is in fact a passionate soul that never stops desiring.
ZOE (aged 25-30)
Beatnik at the frontline of the young-minded community leading enterprising York forward. Technologically and socially aware, Zoe works hard and plays hard and is an ever-present whether it’s in the real or virtual world.
