York Theatre Royal’s Costume Hire is a real Aladdin’s Cave.

If you’ve been invited to a fancy dress party, if you’re staging a school play, a musical or a panto with a cast of hundreds, if your company is hosting a themed event, this is the treasure-trove you need.

Some of the incredible things we can do for you: Scary stuff for Halloween, 60s and 70s party outfits, giant animal costumes, glamorous evening-wear. honestly, everything from wigs down to winkle-pickers.

You’ll be very pleasantly surprised by how little it costs to hire from us. A pair of handmade 1940s shoes from £5 per week? A complete panto villain from £25 per week?
