Some Sunny Day
Joseph Rowntree Theatre

A Tribute to Dame Vera Lynn and Women in War by York Musical Theatre Company.

Dame Vera's Spirit and verve, along with her ability to connect with the men fighting for their country and those left behind praying for their loved ones, made her the 'Forces' sweetheart'. Listen again to the songs she will always be associated with, such as 'We'll Meet again','The White Cliffs of Dover', 'Yours' and many more.

Re-live the many 'hits from the blitz' with heart rending songs, songs that will make you laugh and songs that will make you proud. Enjoy amusing monologues and stirring speeches of the day.

Meet the many women who contributed to the war effort by entertaining us at home and the troops fighting around the world. Who can forget Elsie & Doris Walters, The Andrew Sisters, Gracie Fields, Ann Shelton, Marlene Dietrich and other wartime favourites (including a few men!).

From the Company that brought you the highly successful 'WHEN THE LIGHTS GO ON AGAIN'.

TRULY A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!
