This ongoing series of workshops covers a wide range of dramatic disciplines and focuses on expanding your experience, confidence and development. Whether you’re just beginning to explore acting or are looking to enhance your skills, participants are always welcome to learn in a comfortable, relaxed environment.
Professional actor and practitioner, Michael Lambourne who appeared in the Theatre Royals Summer production of Wind in the Willows, leads the sessions.
New students are welcome throughout the term. 20 places per session.

About Michael Lambourne:
Michael trained at Liverpool John Moores University before continuing his development at Hope St Liverpool’s Physical theatre course. Michael has worked professionally for over eight years and has toured nationally and internationally with a wide variety of companies including Pilot Theatre, Bolton Octagon Theatre and Unity Theatre, Liverpool.

13 Sep - Getting to know you.
A fresh beginning to a fresh new term! An excellent introduction to TheatreWorkshops style of teaching and the class in general We’ll take a look at stagecraft and the bare necessities of presenting your work.
20th September - Part of the Picture
Activites centred around working collaboratively. Learning the benefits of acting as an ensemble and looking at the role of a chorus in storytelling. Working onstage and on film is all about telling a story together and achieving this can be a great asset. It can bring with it fantastic rewards to those watching and those involved.
27th September - Addressing a text
Lines on the page only come alive when the actor knows how to read them and most importantly how to listen to them. Using classic and contempory works this class will focus one your understanding that drama is about conversations and the exchanges that aren’t always in the dialogue.
4th, 11th and 18th October - Starting from Scratch
Ever wondered how stories are adapted and tales created for the stage? In this series of workshops we’ll look at how to begin with nothing and end with… well something! In a free and supportive atmosphere and with excercises to stimulate those little grey imaginative cells you’ll be surprised with what you can devise. It's a real opportunity to harness your own creative potential and play with any number of theatrical styles.
25th October and 1st November - Master Classes
