Having received 4 and 5 star reviews at this year's Edinburgh Festival - complete with a standing ovation on the last night – Kepow Theatre Company are set to make their debut in The Studio at York Theatre Royal from Thursday 26- Saturday 28 October with their hit sell-out show, the hilarious Kevin Tomlinson: Seven Ages.
Taking true stories from his own life and that of his audience, Tomlinson explores Shakespeare's idea that we go through seven stages in life. Completely improvised - featuring masks, storytelling and audience participation - the hilarious Seven Ages explores two of the most important questions one can ever ask oneself- Why am I here? and What's important in my life? A unique show that will make you reassess your priorities in life, whilst simultaneously making you laugh. Come and be inspired!
Kevin Tomlinson is now recognised as one of Britain's leading mask and improvisation performers and has been invited to perform all over the world, including Canada, America, Germany, Holland, Hawaii and Singapore. Most recently, he performed in New Zealand where his solo show sold out and was described as "a must see!" by the New Zealand Times. Kevin previously performed alongside Jonathan Pryce and Tony Slattery in the Royal Court Theatre show Micetro for charity and has worked with the legendary Keith Johnstone - author of Impro and godfather of modern improvisation - on numerous occasions in Canada. He is currently adapting Seven Ages into a comedy show for the BBC, with the help of BBC producer, John Pocock.
Tickets are priced at £9.00-£10.00. Tickets for Under 25s and Students are £4.00 and can be purchased at the York Theatre Royal Box Office or by calling 01904 623568. Tickets are also available online at www.yorktheatreroyal.co.uk.
